My Future Job

I want to be a train driver when I grow up.

I will drive the train from morning to night and I will like this job very much.

I am thinking how can I be a train driver?

First, I have to keep my eyes healthy.

Second, I will go to National Taiwan University to learn about it, but I think it is so difficult to get in. I have to study very hard now. Third, I must pass the entrance exam of Taiwan Railways Administration. (T.R.A.) and accept on-the-job training. Finally I can work on a train!

In the morning, I will take passengers to their work places and schools. In the afternoon, I will take them back home. Day after day. We will become good friends.

Sometimes, I will have some speciel work, like deliver a tank or important foreiger guests, and maybe drive a chartered train to see the first sunrise on the new year eve.

My favorite train is named Taroko. It’s white with an orange belt under the black windows. It is the newest and the fastest train of T.R.A trains. I wish I could be that train’s driver someday.

I am also interested in driving the old diesel engines in the eastem Taiwan.

The windows of the train can be opened by people. There are fans hanging on ceiling instead of air conditioners.

When the train goes in to the tunnel, it usually makes a big noise. I like it!

I want to be a train driver since I was little. My grandfather usually took me to see the trains’ arriving and leaving at Nan-Zi Station and I found the trains were so interesting that I decided to be a train driver.
