The Testy Princess
A long time ago, there was a king, a queen and a princess. The princess was very cute and lovely, but…… She was testy!
In the castle, you could always hear the princess shout, “No, I don’t want to!” “That’s too ugly!” The king and the queen were out of ideas.
One day, a witch came to the castle……
“Can you treat our daughter? She’s always angry, displeased and impossible.” said the queen. The witch said, “No problem, I can help you.”
The witch asked the princess to live with her. The princess resisted at first, but was still led away.
The princess was very angry, so she cried loudly. The witch said “Do you want to be a frog, all day? Just croak, croak, croak?” She turned the princess into a big frog. The princess got so frightened, she forgot to be angry, so she transformed back into being a cute princess.
The next day, she got angry again because she wanted to eat steak, but the witch only had pie. The witch said, “Do you want to be a noisy crow?”
She turned the princess into an ugly, black crow. The crow flew into the house.
An hour later, the crow was tired, so it couldn’t be angry anymore. She transformed back into being a cute princess.
Because the princess couldn’t wear her lovliest nightgown, she got angry again. She asked the witch, “If I get angry again, what will you turn me into?” “I will turn you into the north wind, whoo, whoo, whoo!” The princess smiled.
She said, “I don’t want to be the north wind, I want to be a cute and friendly princess!”
From that moment on, the irritable, short-tempered princess disappeared.
